He graduated with top honors in piano, orchestral conducting, and choral conducting from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart, later refining his skills under Rudolf Buchbinder and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. Notable achievements include winning the ARD and Beethoven awards, showcasing his mastery of Beethoven's and Brahms' repertoire. Kern's performances have graced prestigious venues worldwide, and he has collaborated with renowned orchestras and conductors. His recordings, featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, and others, have garnered widespread acclaim. Currently, he serves as a professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Frankfurt, continuing to inspire aspiring musicians with his profound interpretation and technical virtuosity.
