Svjetski poznati multiinstrumentalist (alt, sopran, tenor, bariton saksofon) medju vodećim je saksofonistima današnjice, a više puta proglašavan najboljim bariton saksofonistom na svijetu. Snimio je 20 samostalnih albuma, hvaljenih od svjetske jazz kritike. Kao saksofonist snimio je preko 50 albuma sa vodećim svjetskim glazbenicima: Dee Dee Bridgewater, Herbie Hancockom, Christian McBrideom, Madeleine Peyroux… U Puli će nastupati sa svojom novom grupom James Carter Elektrik Outlet, izvodit će kompozicije Stevie Wondera, All Jarreaua, Gene Amonsa…
